How it all started...

Loren Strombeck

Starting a photography business was not on my radar for many years. I mean, I loved taking photos of my kids on my iPhone but that was about it. Something started to shift in me when I realized that the people around me kept complimenting the photos I would take and even a few of my photographer friends said that I had an "eye" for it. Slowly over time, all those words of encouragement made me think that maybe I should give this a shot! I took the plunge in fall of 2020 and launched my business!

More about me...

I was born and raised in central Florida and have no plans for moving elsewhere. I enjoy spontaneous trips to the beach and spending the evenings at Disney with my family. I am a full time homemaker, mom, and wife. I have been married for thirteen years and we have four children together.

Pursuing a photography business has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. It's been exciting, nerve wrecking, fun, frustrating, motivating, insightful, stressful, expensive, exhausting, adventurous, beautiful... But overall, I can say that I am beyond grateful for every part of this journey. It's been so much more than a hobby turned business. It's simply been life changing, in the best of ways!

Experience

In 2021, I decided it was time to take my business to the next level. I invested in multiple workshops and upgraded my camera body, lenses, laptop and gallery delivery services. Each year I choose to invest in my business so that I can continue to provide excellent service for my clients.

Gratitude

I would not have a friendship with Johanna & Alisha if it wasn't for photography. We found each other on social media and decided to meet up in person one day. Photography may have initially brought us together but our friendship is what keeps us getting together as the years pass.

Growth

Photography has pushed me outside of my comfort zone in many ways. I've come face to face with parts of me that needed healing and growth. I had to dig deep to unveil my worth and value. I am continuously learning to let go of what others think and be confident in who I am and what I have to offer.

Community

I never imagined photography to be more than a business. Yet, I have found a beautiful community of local photographers who share in the struggles of owning a photography business and who encourage each other to keep going. These ladies believe in community over competition.
